Liyang High-tech Zone is located in the heart of the Yangtze River Delta economic zone, making it quickly accessible from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. There are 6 international airports within a 200km radius, 2 hours by car to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Hefei, and 1 hour drive to the ports of Nanjing, Changzhou and Liyang.

 

Liyang High-tech Zone is a provincial level High-tech Zone and is pending approval to become a national-level zone.

1. Power Batteries

As CATL, United Auto Battery Co., Ltd. and Putailai serve as carriers, more than 60 enterprises in the power battery industry chain have been introduced. The annual production capacity of power battery is expected to reach 160GWH by 2022. The zonek has formed a new energy power battery industry cluster integrating cell materials, intelligent equipment, battery manufacturing and battery recycling.

 

2. Smart Grid Industry

69 enterprises in scale, e.g. Jiangsu Shangshang Cable Group is ranked first in China and sixth in the world by CRU, and Jiangsu Huapeng Group has the largest production of medium-size transformer in Asia.

 

3. Automobile and Parts Industry

As Saic Maxus RV base with an annual output of 35000 vehicles takes the lead, other technology-oriented corporations, such as Kehua Holdings and Jiangsu Lile, and the industrial cluster have begun to take shape, and remarkable achievements have been made in R&D and innovation.

 

4. Advanced Equipment

With more than 170 manufacturing enterprises such as Buhler Group and Zhengchang Group, the cluster covers photovoltaic energy, wind power, servo motor and agriculture machinery.

 

5. High-end Stainless Steel

With a total investment of US$2,723 million by Delong Nickel, it mainly produces 300 series of high-end stainless steel products, its annual sales revenue is expected to exceed US$15,471 million.
